Dior creative director Jonathan Anderson shared new details about designing Taylor Swift‘s wedding dress for her Friday nuptials to Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden.
As he unveiled the French luxury fashion house’s fall 2026 couture collection, Anderson spoke with WWD Paris bureau chief Joelle Diderich about his latest curation and revealed a few specifics about the process of creating the 14-time Grammy winner’s wedding dress.

“It was a joy to work with her. We became very good friends,” Anderson said. “It’s an emotional thing doing someone’s wedding.” Official photos from the couple’s Madison Square Garden wedding have yet to be released.
The designer offered up another striking bridal-inspired dress on the runway Monday, perhaps an indication he’s ready for more custom bridal gigs.

Swift and Kelce, who got engaged in August 2025, said “I do,” at New York City’s sports and entertainment landmark on Friday following several weeks of speculation regarding the venue for the singer’s and Kansas City Chief tight end’s star-studded ceremony.
Both Swift and Kelce were dressed in Christian Dior haute couture for Friday’s festivities. Swift accessorized her wedding day attire with pieces of Cartier jewelry and a pair of custom Christian Louboutin pumps.
A bevy of high-profile figures joined the couple on Friday to celebrate, dressed in monochrome, black-tie attire. Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Kelsea Ballerini were among Swift’s guests.

By wearing Anderson’s Dior design on her wedding day, Swift became the first celebrity to wear a couture wedding gown by the house’s creative director of women’s, men’s and haute couture, according to a press release from her publicist, Tree Paine.
Following Friday’s ceremony, “JUST&T MARRIED!” flashed on LED screens outside of Madison Square Garden. Swift and Kelce opted for a tighter, more intimate wedding party, with Swift tapping her brother Austin as her man of honor and Kelce’s brother, former Philadelphia Eagles football star Jason Kelce, to act as his best man.
Anderson officially joined Dior as creative director in June 2025, assuming the role vacated by Maria Grazia Chiuri. The couturier previously served as the creative director of Spanish luxury fashion house Loewe from 2013 until March 2025. During his tenure at Dior, Anderson’s tapped new ambassadors, including “Past Lives” breakout star Greta Lee, and debuted a string of women’s spring and fall collections and couture curations.
Along with his work with Dior, Anderson has served as a costume designer for filmmaker Luca Guadagnino’s 2024 movies “Challengers” and “Queer.”
