3 people identified after Lamoille River drownings

GEORGIA, Vt. (WCAX) – Police have identified three people who drowned near Arrowhead Mountain Lake last week, including a Cambridge sister and brother and a Fairfax man who jumped in to save a child.

Yazmin Yupangui, 11, and her brother Sandro Lala, 25, both of Cambridge, were fishing on the Lamoille River when Yupangui fell into the water. Lala jumped in to rescue her. Authorities ruled both deaths accidental drowning. Their bodies were found days later after an extensive search.

During that search, crews also found the body of Robert Coreno, 39, of Fairfax. Police identified him Monday.

They say Coreno accidentally drowned after a 10-year-old child fell into the water and he jumped in to save her. She was rescued.
