Dodgers’ 2.80 ERA starter is ‘baffling’ All-Star Game snub

There are dozens of MLB All-Star Game snubs each year.
Mathematically, there has to be.
Not every player having a great year can be selected. There are only so many roster spots.
But FanSided’s John Poretto argues that the Los Angeles Dodgers should have a fifth player from the NL West club representing the team at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
“The left-hander is a prime example of the Dodgers’ extraordinary depth, which has allowed the two-time defending World Series champions to build a whopping 14-game lead in the NL West,” Poretto wrote about Justin Wrobleski.
Wrobleski, 25, emerged as a valuable arm for the Dodgers in 2025, especially during last year’s postseason.
“Wrobleski would likely be a middle reliever if he wasn’t needed to help an injury-ravaged rotation, and he responded by going 10-2 with a 2.80 ERA in 15 games,” Poretto added.
Wrobleski is not much of a strikeout pitcher, with just 64 punchouts in 93.1 innings this season. One thing he does particularly well is limit walks, at a 4.9% rate.

He also has one of the more valuable fastballs in the sport, at a 16 Run Value. Otherwise, Wrobleski’s Baseball Savant page is mostly different shades of blue.
Should Wrobleski deserve to be an All-Star? Probably.
Sometimes the roster runs out of space.
