It’s time, once again, to update the PowerPoint. On Wednesday, People reported that Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff have split one month ahead of their three-year wedding anniversary. One source told the outlet their relationship has been “rocky,” while a second added that The Substance actress and pop music producer are “figuring things out.” Neither confirmed the news, but TMZ noted that Qualley seemingly deleted all photos from their 2023 New Jersey wedding from her Instagram profile (though she still has photo strips with Antonoff up from February). The Cut has reached out to representatives for Qualley and Antonoff and will update this post if we hear back.

News of the couple’s rumored separation comes days after Antonoff was spotted over the course of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding weekend — not with Qualley but with his fashion-designer sister, Rachel. His wife’s absence kicked up some chatter, but other commentators assumed she was out of town working on her upcoming film King Snake.

Obviously we don’t know exactly what’s going on between the two, but I can’t help but add that the timing is eerily close to the release of Famesick. One month ago, Lena Dunham published a page-turner memoir that spilled the beans about her and Antonoff’s former relationship as well as his dalliances with an unnamed “teen pop star” (long rumored to be Lorde) while Dunham was away visiting her dying grandmother in the summer of 2016.

If Qualley really has joined Antonoff’s roster of famous exes, I do hope she and Dunham compare notes. Maybe that young singer will come over to trade tales with “Aunt Lena,” as the memoir asserts she called Dunham, too. Might I recommend they also extend an invite to @buzzkillary, the author of said 29-slide PowerPoint titled “Lorde and Jack Antonoff — An Emotionally Broken Journey?” In Famesick, Dunham herself acknowledged the work about Antonoff’s alleged boundary crossing as “pretty amazing.” I think that says it all.
