I-90 closed at Vantage due to due rapidly moving wildfire

KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. — A rapidly moving wildfire prompted evacuation orders and major road closures Wednesday in the Vantage area, according to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office.
The city of Vantage is under a Level 3 “Go Now” evacuation order, with authorities urging residents to leave the area immediately.
Officials also closed Vantage Highway at Parke Creek Road because of the fire.
Interstate 90 was closed in both directions, with eastbound traffic stopped at Exit 115 in Kittitas County and westbound traffic closed in Grant County.
The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office said it will continue to provide updates as the situation develops.
