As Marta Kostyuk plays in her first Wimbledon semifinals, her husband, George Kyzymenko is cheering her on.

Kostyuk, 24, and Kyzymenko, 29, married in 2023. Here’s what to know about Marta Kostyuk’s husband George Kyzymenko:
He’s from Ukraine.
Kostyuk and Kyzymenko grew up near each other. “I met my husband George when I was four years old, we were practicing in the same club in Ukraine. Our paths just kind of went separate ways when we were younger,” Kostyuk explained. “We met again in October 2022 and a year later we got married.”
Cosmo UK notes, “They lost contact when he went to the US to study, and Marta started playing professionally. They reconnected only when she returned to her home country in 2022. Five months later, George proposed.”
They both wore custom Wilson outfits to their wedding.
They got married in Cyprus in 2023, and worked closely with Joelle Michaeloff, Wilson’s head of design, for their outfits. “I came up with 12 different options,” Michaeloff told Vogue. “Just quick pencil sketches and ideas around different necklines, different skirt types, different strap types, different materials. Eventually, we made a dress by combining sketches of three different dresses and then I just took it from there. Marta blindly trusted me, which made me a little nervous—but, I think, tells you a lot about our relationship and how we work together.”
She added, “I wanted it to be easy and really functional. The under-bodice, though, is really what makes this one of the most technical wedding dresses ever made. It has a built-in shelf prop, much like our tennis dresses, so everything’s built-in and she could jump in the ocean in this dress if she wanted to. The fabric is this gorgeous, highly technical Italian fabric with just a slight shimmer, to that it really hugged and fit her like something she could go and play a match in.”
Kyzymenko works as a “full time trader.”
According his LinkedIn, he graduated from National University of Physical Training and Sports, Kyiv with a Master’s in Business Administration, Management and Operations. He also received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wisconsin International University, Ukraine.
After graduating, he co-founded Allatrack, an IT service consultancy.
