Comedian Kathy Griffin, 65, has hard-launched her new boyfriend, 22, in a cheeky social media post.
Griffin posted a photo of herself holding hands with a younger mystery man on Instagram. She captioned with a direct message to the world: “He’s 22. Have at it, internet.”

In the photo, the man is reaching for the car door while holding Griffin’s hand, with their arms interlocked. He’s looking directly into the camera.
Meanwhile, Griffin, wearing a tight black midi dress, smiles as she waits to step into the car.
Her followers were quick to jump to the comments, some supporting her, while others calling the age-gap a double-standard.
“Women in male fields😍,” one person wrote.
“GO GURL,” another commented.
“If he is opening the car door for you, keep him. More class at 22 than most men,” a third person wrote.
Of course, some did not approve of the romance.
“If it were a 65+ year old man with a 22-year-old woman, the comments would be very, very different,” one person wrote.
Griffin took to the post a few hours later, writing: “I am dying at these comments 👏😂👏.”

It’s not clear who the man in the photo is, but he and Griffin appear to be romanticallu linked.
This is not the first time Griffin has dated a man in his 20s. In a personal essay published in The Cut in December, 2025, she confessed to falling in love with a 23-year-old.
“Because of his age, he didn’t have the usual sexism, misogyny, and biases that guys my age tend to have. He seemed to see me. I know that sounds really corny. Oh God, it sounds so lame! But I felt really comfortable with him, and I felt very content just hanging out,” she wrote.
She went on to say the relationship was short-lived, but she doesn’t regret it.
The relationship came shortly after her divorce from her second husband Randy Bick, 48, was finalised in 2023.
Griffin and Bick officially divorced in Los Angeles County Superior Court after three years of marriage, tying the knot in 2020. The pair had been together since 2011.
She was previously married to software entrepreneur Matthew Moline from 2001 to 2005.
