John Torode shares update on his wife’s health
TV chef John Torode has provided an update on his wife, Lisa Faulkner, following her cancer diagnosis.
Appearing on Monday’s This Morning (July 13), John shared a brief comment during the opening of the ITV show. With presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard back at the helm, John was also on hand to share what he will be cooking in the studio kitchen.
This is when Ben asked John about his wife, Lisa. Ben said: “Quick question as well, lovely Lisa, how’s she doing?”
John replied: “She’s doing really well, actually, really well, and thanks so much for asking. She thanks everybody for all their wonderful comments and their best wishes, but she’s doing very well, thank you very much.”

Lisa, 54, is an actress, presenter, and home cook. Known for her roles in Holby City, Spooks, and Waterloo Road, she later became a TV cook alongside her husband John, whom she married in 2019.
Earlier this month, Lisa shared that she is on the road to recovery after having surgery for breast cancer. The Celebrity MasterChef champion updated fans on Instagram, revealing she had received the results of her operation.
She told followers, “It’s all good, they’ve got everything out, so it’s all clear, and I just need some radiotherapy in a few weeks”.
Lisa also confirmed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year to her fans online, saying she was in “the very early stages of breast cancer” and had had “quite a big op”, adding that she still had “quite a bit of healing to do. But I’m good, I’m well, and feeling so much better”.

She recently told her Instagram followers: “I’m so grateful that I went for my mammogram. Don’t put them off, go, because they found this – without this mammogram, it wouldn’t have been picked up.”
She added, “I want to say thank you to our wonderful NHS, and the fact that we can have these mammograms, and we can get treatment early.”
After she posted, fans and fellow celebrities shared their thoughts. Amanda Holden said: “I’m so glad you’ve shared this, my angel. It will inspire and help so many people. You’ve got this, and we all love and adore you.”

Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford said: “So good to hear you’re healing now, and thank you for sharing this and encouraging us all to go for our potentially life-saving mammograms. Take care of yourself. Love to you and John.”
Meanwhile, former This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby said: “Sending you so much love.”
This Morning airs Mondays-Fridays from 10am on ITV1.
