Seattle Storm forward Ezi Magbegor won’t see the court any time soon.

On Sunday, Magebegor was listed as “out, facial injury” ahead of a matchup with the Washington Mystics. Storm head coach Sonia Raman later confirmed the injury, revealing Magbegor had a broken a bone in her face. Raman says the Seattle forward will be “reevaluated in the next couple of weeks.”

On July 9, during a matchup against the Atlanta Dream, Magbegor left the game early in the second quarter with a facial injury. She was trying to secure a rebound while battling against Dream center Madina Okot and received an inadvertent elbow to the face.

Magbegor was later ruled out. The Storm forward saw eight minutes of action, finishing with two points and five rebounds

“Ezi got hit in the face,” Raman said following the game against Atlanta. “We don’t have (an) update now, but we’re evaluating her.”

Magbegor’s facial injury comes four games into her return from a foot injury that held her out for the first 20 games of the season.

In April, the WNBA All-Star suffered a right foot injury while playing for Australia during the 2026 FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers in Istanbul, Turkey.

Magbegor made her 2026 debut on July 2 against Phoenix, tallying eight points, 3 assists and a steal in 17 minutes. Across her four games played this season, Magbegor is averaging 3.5 points, four rebounds and one assist.
