An update has been given to drivers in the last few minutes. It says: “The M5 in Somerset is closed in both directions near Bridgwater between J23 and J24 due to police led incident.
“Avon and Somerset Police are on scene.
“Current delays of 30 mins and 2 miles of congestion on the approach in both directions.”
A diversion is now in place. We will bring you details of that shortly.
