5-Star WR Monshun Sales Announces CFB Commitment Between Alabama, Indiana, OSU, More

Five-star wide receiver prospect Monshun Sales has committed to Indiana.
Sales announced his committment decision during a Friday appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.
He became Indiana football’s first-ever five-star commit, according to Pete Nakos of On3.
Sales is listed as the No. 2 wide receiver and No. 8 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings.
He chose to join the Hoosiers over Alabama, Texas, LSU, and Ohio State, according to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.
Sales also received offers from schools including Auburn, Florida, Illinois, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas A&M.
Still, the Indianapolis native ultimately joined a Hoosiers squad coming off a national championship.
Sales explained how his relationship with Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti, offensive coordinator Mike Shanahan and assistant wide receivers coach Eddie Burk Jr. factored into the decision.
“Indiana was my second offer and since then they’ve just been pouring into me,” Sales said (0:19 mark). “I go up there a lot and I talk with coach Shanny, coach Eddie and coach Cig. Them my guys, probably the best relationships I have with coaches. It just felt like home since day one and I’m just ready to work.”
Sales is coming off a 2025 season at Lawrence North High School in which he caught 37 passes for 794 yards and nine touchdowns (h/t 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins). He helped his team finish with a 7-3 record, advancing to the Indiana 6A playoffs.
The Hoosiers wrapped up a perfect 16-0 finish in 2025, boasting a high-powered offense that routinely put their wide receivers in positions to succeed.
Indiana had multiple receivers selected in the 2026 NFL draft, as Omar Cooper Jr. was picked by the New York Jets in the first round before the Baltimore Ravens chose Elijah Sarratt in the fourth round.
