Blush has been having a major moment in beauty, with new ‘hacks’ popping up on social media daily. That said, what’s trending often doesn’t take mature skin into account, making blush one of the trickier products to master in midlife. Demi Moore’s latest look, however, showcases a ‘blurred blush’ technique that gives mature skin a soft-focus, filter-like glow.
The actress, 63, looked radiant in new photos taken in Paris and shared by her longtime hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos. The multi-talented Dimitris played double duty for the occasion, creating her glowy makeup look as well as styling her hair.
Demi’s complexion was the star of the show. Her skin was beautifully bronzed and subtly sculpted, with a wash of soft pink blush swept across her cheekbones. Seamless layering and blending created a flattering soft-focus, diffused finish.
Dimitris dubbed the look ‘BBH makeup’, standing for ‘blurred blush and highlight’. Sharing his secrets on Instagram, he explains that he wanted to give Demi a pink, sun-kissed effect that felt, in his words, ‘sweet, fun, fresh and playful’.

Demi looked radiant
To create the blurred finish, he reveals he relied on clever layering. Starting with cream products, he applied cream contour to sculpt and define the face (just look at Demi’s incredible cheekbones as evidence) before following with cream blush.
Dimitris revealed he used Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Blush Healthy Glow Stick, mixing the shades Rosy Glow and Pinky Glow to create the perfect sun-kissed flush.

Next came the powders, layering powder contour and powder blush over the cream formulas, building that ‘blurred’, filter-like finish. This would help with longevity, too, which, for a busy schedule like Demi’s, we imagine is essential.

That soft glow is all down to layering
Glow was then dialled back up with a touch of cream highlighter, topped with powder highlighter for extra radiance. To finish, he added one last sweep of bright pink blush. Voilà!
As a finishing touch, Dimitris matched the pink blush with a pink lip – a classic beauty trick, guaranteed to create a cohesive look.
Though it might be a few more steps than a simple sweep of blush, the results speak for themselves. If it helps us achieve even a hint of Demi’s radiant glow, we’d consider it a win.
