Temperatures will slowly fall through the 80s this evening before settling into the lower 70s overnight.

Smoke from Canadian wildfires may continue to create hazy conditions early on Saturday, but it’ll be a big improvement over what we saw today.

Tomorrow will be another hot and humid day with afternoon highs near 90 again. While much of the morning and early afternoon will stay dry, scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop later in the day.

A few of those storms could become severe, with primary threats including: Damaging winds, heavy rain, and localized flash flooding

Overnight, temperatures will only fall into the lower 70s under mostly cloudy skies. and reduced air quality into Saturday morning, especially for people with asthma or other respiratory issues.

If you have outdoor plans Saturday afternoon or evening, be sure to have a way to receive weather alerts and be prepared to head indoors if storms approach.

Those storms should help improve air quality by pushing some of the wildfire smoke out of the area.

By Sunday, noticeably drier air arrives behind the cold front. Expect to see a good deal of sunshine, with highs in the low-mid 80s.

Sunday looks like the nicest day of the weekend and a great opportunity to spend time outdoors.

Another cold front arrives on Tuesday, bringing another chance for showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could again produce heavy rainfall and gusty winds before cooler air settles in, for giving us below average temps for the rest of the workweek.

Have a great weekend!
