Nicole Kidman’s Reaction to Keith Urban’s Post-Split Behavior

Nicole Kidman‘s divorce from Keith Urban isn’t exactly the amicable split fans are accustomed to from A-list stars. It’s a little messy.
While it seems that Kidman did her best to work on her marriage, Urban appeared to have one foot out the door. Now, the Oscar winner is reacting to her estranged husband’s behavior amid their breakup — and we don’t blame her. According to TMZ, the 57-year-old country singer is reportedly involved with “another woman,” with unconfirmed rumors circulating that it’s his 25-year-old guitarist, Maggie Baugh.

Now, Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack is claiming that there is “a separate mystery woman [who] has also been spotted at Keith’s side in recent weeks” — he’s possibly juggling two women at once. Shuter described Urban’s current choices as a “full-blown midlife crisis,” which had Kidman feeling “sad but ready to move on.”

“Nicole isn’t disputing the rumors, but she’s floored by how blatant it all feels,” a source told Shuter.
Urban’s decisions have reportedly left him iced out of Hollywood, but some of his fans are turning against him. They’ve been disappointed by the rumors after he changed the lyrics to his Kidman-inspired song, “The Fighter,” to include Baugh’s name. It felt disrespectful to his estranged wife and their two daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14.
On his Sept. 24 Instagram post, his followers were chiming in with advice and criticism about his marital situation. “Save your marriage !!!!! Stop touring and realize what you have in front of you,” pleaded one fan. Another social media user added, “You realize you just lost the best thing that ever happened to you? Nicole kept you in the spotlight, not your music.”
The timing of Kidman and Urban’s divorce couldn’t be worse for CBS, which has him in a crucial role in their unscripted series, The Road. The series, premiering Oct. 19, has 12 musicians competing to earn a spot as Urban’s opening act on the road. With upcoming press interviews to promote the show, the network is going to have to tiptoe around his personal life.
It’s not an ideal place to be, but it appears Urban is on a different path in life right now.
