A black bear wandered onto a Canadian golf course, stole a golfer’s clubs and turned an ordinary round into a viral wildlife moment.

A bear was seen ripping off golf clubs attached to a cart before taking off.
For most golfers, a rough day on the links means a tricky sand trap or a triple bogey. But these golfers encountered a hazard they definitely didn’t see coming: A bear looking to get fitted for his own set of clubs.
In a video that’s racking up millions of views online, a curious bear strolled up to a golf cart at Golden Eagle Golf Club in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, helped itself to a player’s golf bag, then casually dragged it away from the tee box. The golfers were teeing off on the 12th hole when the bear made its appearance.
“We noticed behind us that a bear had come out of the bush to our right and was wandering over to our cart,” the golfer said. “It must have picked up a scent of some trail mix in the bag of clubs attached to the golf cart.”
The bear tried to open the bag with its teeth, but when that didn’t work, it took matters into its own paws.
As the golfers watched in disbelief, one person can be heard in the video telling the “fore”-legged thief, “those are my clubs, man.”
But the bear wasn’t ready to give up its new driver just yet. The animal dragged the bag across the course before wandering off, leaving the golfers with a story that’s sure to be a hole-in-one at the clubhouse.
As amusing as the video is, the takeaway is that bears are still wild animals and not cute, furry caddies.
Wildlife experts say black bears are naturally curious and often investigate unfamiliar objects, especially if they carry food odors or other appealing scents. The best move during a bear encounter? Keep your distance, don’t approach the animal and let it move along on its own.
Fortunately, this round ended with a viral video instead of an unbearable situation, but one thing is certain: This bear was ready to play through.
