North Carolina vs. Oklahoma: Live updates, score for Men’s College World Series Finals Game 3
Good afternoon college baseball fans!
It’s the final day of the 2026 season, and we are on the cusp of the greatest words in the college baseball: Game 3. North Carolina and Oklahoma are tied 1-1 in the Men’s College World Series finals and will play the winner-take-all affair tonight at 7 p.m. ET.
The Sooners and left-hander Cord Rager carried their hot streak into Game 1 of the finals, beating the Tar Heels 9-3, with ace Jason DeCaro on the bump. UNC responded in Game 2 with a 6-2 victory, headlined by ACC Freshman of the Year Caden Glauber’s one-hit, five inning shutout.

Game 3 will feature a matchup of freshman starters in North Carolina’s Jackson Rose and Oklahoma’s Nick Wesloski. It has been a tale of two different, but similarly successful NCAA tournaments for the two youngsters, as Rose has only been used in relief, but given up zero runs and just three hits across 12 innings.
Both of Wesloski’s appearances have been starts, going seven innings against The Citadel in regionals, giving up five runs (three earned) on six hits and 5.2 innings of work versus Georgia, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits.

However, with a national title on the line, expect both coaches in UNC’s Scott Forbes and OU’s Skip Johnson to have a quick trigger when turning to the bullpen.
