Tommy Fleetwood soaks it in on 18 as he birdies to a standing ovation

Southport native Tommy Fleetwood birdied the par-4 18th to a standing ovation as he finished his week at 7 under – just out of contention.

Fleetwood was a favorite coming into Birkdale. It hasn’t yet been determined when the major will return to the course, and at 35 years old, there’s a question of if he’ll play the next one.
