ALBANY PARK — A Chicago police SWAT officer was shot in his stomach and a woman was shot in her face Monday during a domestic incident in Albany Park, according to sources and a preliminary incident report.
Both were in serious to critical condition, sources said. Two others were injured in the incident, including a teenage boy.
About 11 a.m. Monday, a man shot a woman and then barricaded himself with a 13-year-old inside a home in the 4600 block of North Springfield Avenue, according to a preliminary incident report.
The woman was shot in her face, according to the report and a source. An officer who was responding to the incident was shot twice in his stomach, the source said.
Both were taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to the incident report.
Emergency responders surrounded person on a stretcher near Wilson and Harding before 1 p.m. Monday. A police officer and woman and a third person were injured in the incident, sources said.

Two other people were injured in the incident, although they were not shot, a source said. One was a teenage boy. Details were not available about the fourth victim. Both were taken to area hospitals.
At 12:51 p.m., a Block Club reporter saw a person on a stretcher in the 4500 block of North Harding Avenue. The person, who was surrounded by first responders, appeared to be moving.
At 1:15 p.m., a man with his hands behind his back was seen by a Block Club photographer being escorted by SWAT officers out of the building in the 4600 block of North Springfield.
The scene was secured anout 1:30 p.m., officials said.
The wounded officer listed in the preliminary report is 45 years old and has been on the force since 2005, records show. He has been on the SWAT team since 2013.
Ald. Rossana Rodriguez-Sanchez (33rd) didn’t have full details on the incident but told Block Club the officer was in surgery Monday afternoon.
“This is absolutely tragic, and I hope the officer is able to recover,” Rodriguez-Sanchez said.
A police spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Traffic was crawling as police cars rushed north and south along Pulaski Road near Wilson Avenue with sirens blaring and lights flashing. Helicopters were overhead.
