Clay County ‘super-speeder’ arrested after deputy clocks him at 111 mph in 45 mph zone

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A 20-year-old man was arrested July 17 after deputies said he was driving 111 mph in a 45 mph zone on County Road 215, according to a Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
He was stopped about 8:54 a.m. after a deputy conducting traffic enforcement recorded his speed with radar, the report says.
The deputy activated emergency lights, made a U-turn and conducted a traffic stop. Leese was then taken to Clay County Jail, the report said.
He was issued a criminal citation for excessive speed.
