Officers say the fires are often started ‘for fun’ or to film content.
These fires spread fast, put lives at risk, and can lead to serious criminal consequences.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Parents, please stay alert.
“If you notice anything worrying, talk to them early. A calm conversation today can prevent a dangerous situation tomorrow. Let’s keep our community safe.”
Police are encouraging parents to watch for signs of involvement, including the smell of smoke on clothes or bags, unexplained lighters or matches, burn marks on belongings, soot on hands or under nails, and sudden interest in abandoned buildings, alleyways, or woodland areas.
