Previous coaches Neil Moss and Gareth Stewart were offered roles within the development squad, but Stewart has since moved to Blackburn Rovers, where he came through the academy as a player.
Moss remains at the club.
Bournemouth felt they needed to make changes within the goalkeeper department and with the upcoming season in Europe, they sought to bring in a coach with European experience.

They believe they have brought in a top coach to fit that brief in de Boever, as he arrives having coached at Club Brugge and Monaco, where he was before joining the Cherries.
He was also a part of Belgium’s goalkeeper coaching staff as a second coach for the nation at this summer’s World Cup.
Prior to working in Europe, de Boever was first-team goalkeeper coach at Al-Arabi and has worked in Singapore.
The likes of Thibaut Courtois, Senne Lammens, and Simon Mignolet have worked under de Boever, and he has experience coaching in both the Champions League and the Europa League.

Philpott, meanwhile, will assume the position of assistant goalkeeper coach, having been at the Cherries since June 2022.
He has worked with age groups in the club’s academy ranging from the under-nines to the development squad, and he has been a first-team goalkeeper scout for the club.
Prior to joining the Cherries, he played for Eastleigh, Winchester, and Wimborne Town.
Philpott has a sports coaching degree from Nottingham Trent University, too.

Earlier in the summer, the Cherries tied Fraser Forster down to a new one-year contract, and the experienced shot stopper will continue to mentor Djordje Petrovic, as he did on his short-term deal in the second half of last season.
Forster made a significant impact in that time, improving the level of training in the goalkeeping department and playing that mentor role.
It is understood that the 38-year-old is keen to be involved with the development of young keepers at the club and has taken an interest in the keepers currently in the development squad, and he may transition into a coaching role at the club once he hangs up his gloves.
As reported, Bournemouth were keen to replicate the keeper department that they had in the second half of last season.

With Forster now signed, they were keen to explore another loan move for Christos Mandas from Lazio.
But with the departure of Ivan Provedel to Inter, the Italian club did not want to sanction another loan and would have only sold Mandas on a permanent move for €18m, which was not an option for Bournemouth.
They will assess Will Dennis’ place in the squad after the Austria pre-season camp, after his successful loan at Leyton Orient.
