ESSEX COUNTY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Opening statements are set to begin Thursday in the trial of Luciano Frattolin.
The Canadian father is accused of killing his 9-year-old daughter, Melina, while the pair vacationed in the Lake George area last July.
Frattolin reported his daughter missing. Not long after an Amber Alert was issued.
State Police say data from license plate readers and Luciano’s cell phone led them to search a wooded area in Ticonderoga.
That’s where New York State Police say young Melina drowned.
Jury selection started on Monday, which was the one-year-anniversary of when Frattolin was arrested.
After three days a jury was seated on Wednesday.
