Did Meghan Markle Just Subtly Confirm Prince Harry Brought Their Kids to Princess Diana’s Childhood Home?
Meghan Markle took to Instagram to share a series of photographs from her family’s summer vacation in Europe. While most of the pictures appear to be in Portugal, a few snaps seem to be taken in the UK—and are believed to have been taken at Althorp, Princess Diana’s childhood home.
In one photograph (pictured above), Prince Harry and Prince Archie carry large bouquets as Princess Lilibet trails behind. Diana’s burial site is located on an island in the middle of a lake on the estate. People reported that the family of four stayed at the Spencer family’s ancestral estate during their July visit.

This wouldn’t be Harry’s first time staying at Althorp during a trip to the UK. In September 2022, Harry brought Markle to Althorp, where they were welcomed by Diana’s siblings, Charles, Sarah, and Jane, and they visited Diana’s grave. As he wrote in Spare, “I led Meg up the path, around a hedge, through the labyrinth. There it was, looming: the grayish white oval stone. No visit to this place was ever easy, but this one… Twenty-fifth anniversary. And Meg’s first time. At long last I was bringing the girl of my dreams home to meet mum.”
He continues, “We hesitated, hugging, and then I went first. I placed flowers on the grave. Meg gave me a moment, and I spoke to my mother in my head, told her I missed her, asked her for guidance and clarity. Feeling that Meg might also want a moment, I went around the hedge, scanned the pond. When I came back, Meg was kneeling, eyes shut, palms against the stone. I asked, as we walked back to the boat, what she’d prayed for. Clarity, she said. And guidance.”
Prince Harry has stayed close with his Spencer family over the years; Diana’s sisters, Lady Jane and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, were reportedly in attendance at Princess Lilibet’s christening in 2023.
During the Sussex family’s recent UK trip, Prince Harry and Meghan brought their children to meet with King Charles at Highgrove, his private country home. Althorp is located just over two hours from Highgrove.
T&C has reached out to the Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment, but as of this writing, has not heard back.
