Kewaskum speedskating phenom Jordan Stolz teams with actor Glen Powell in slick NBC Olympics ad

Here’s what speedskater Jordan Stolz said about his injury and recovery
Jordan Stolz, the 21-year-old Olympic speedskater from Kewaskum, is back after suffering a leg injury while bike training three months ago.
Perhaps those watching the Green Bay Packers’ “Sunday Night Football” game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 28 caught a glimpse of another budding Wisconsin sports icon during a commercial break.
Speedskating phenom Jordan Stolz, a world champion on a path to becoming one of Team USA’s faces of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, teamed with movie star Glen Powell for a fun promo teasing NBC’s coverage of the games.
The 21-year-old who calls Kewaskum home will be favored to bring home some Olympic hardware. His boatload of gold medals from international competitions includes an historic performance in 2024 at the World Allround Championships.
His commercial with Powell features the “Twisters” and “Top Gun: Maverick” actor demonstrating for corporate marketers his ill-fated idea to promote the games, featuring Stolz outracing a henchman with saw blades and a souped-up Zamboni. There’s also some pyrotechnics, giving Powell license to test-drive the slogan, “Fire on ice!”
The 2026 Winter Olympics begin Feb. 4, with opening ceremonies officially kicking things off Feb. 6.
