Zendaya Wears a Web-Like Dress and Spider Brooch to the Shanghai Premiere of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
No one should ever underestimate the powers of Zendaya and her image architect, Law Roach. When it comes to sticking to a theme, these two rarely stray off course, and they’ve certainly been consistent as Zendaya’s been promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day (out July 31).
Over the past few weeks, Zendaya has sported vintage Spider-Man tees, arachnid-shaped earrings, and even the superhero’s classic red-and-blue color scheme. But most of all, she’s worn lots and lots of spiderweb motifs—and it seems she hasn’t run out of webby ensembles yet.

Case in point: Early this morning, the Emmy winner hit the red carpet for the Shanghai, China premiere of her new Spider-Man film, where she wore a mesh dress from the Atelier Versace Spring/Summer 2016 couture collection.

The archival design featured an off-white gauzy material that spread in all directions from Zendaya’s hip, outlining the design and wrapping the actor like a—you guessed it—web, while running up her shoulder and forming the slightly-scooped neckline. The other shoulder strap consisted of black cords, while the spaces between these bandage-like swathes were filled with a sparkly black netted material.

To complete her look, Zendaya wore a pair of white Miss Z pumps from Christian Louboutin, while pinning the hip of her dress with a spider-shaped brooch from Chopard. For an extra touch of dazzle, she also sported a diamond watch from Rolex.
Throughout the press tour for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Zendaya has also debuted quite a few different hairdos, from her Audrey Hepburn-inspired bouffant to her curly cropped bob. This time around, she sported silky strands that trailed all the way down her back, while stark baby bangs defined the front.
Even when she’s sticking to a theme, Zendaya knows how to surprise us at every turn.
