Berlin Pride horror as car drives into crowd and kills at least one person and others badly injured

A horror incident has led to the cancellation of a Berlin Pride event, police say, after a vehicle reportedly drove into the crowd, killing at least one person.
Local German news outlet dts Nachrichtenagentur is reporting that at least one person is dead, with 15 injured and some seriously injured with life-threatening conditions.
Police said some of the victims had life-threatening injuries. Firefighters and ambulances were out with many emergency staffers at the scene to attend to the victims.
An intensive manhunt is underway as police continue to investigate. They have urged people to avoid the area. The injured are being treated by emergency services near Tiergarten park, where the incident took place, police said.
The annual Pride event, also known as Christopher Street Day, has been canceled as a result of the incident. Hundreds of thousands of people had taken to the streets to celebrate on Saturday.
On X, the police wrote: “We are currently deployed with numerous police forces as well as rescue units from the Berlin Fire Department in the Großer Tiergarten.”
“It is presumed that a vehicle has driven into the Tiergarten here, has struck and injured several people.” Police did not know how many officers had been deployed to the scene but that it was “definitely a lot of police.”

Christopher Street Day, one of Europe’s largest LGBTQ+ celebrations, takes place in front of the city’s iconic Brandenburg Gate in downtown. The event was called off around 10:15 p.m. local time and a band’s performance on stage was interrupted.
Before the incident, people had celebrated peacefully, marching through the city for hours, dancing to loud music, and cheering the around 80 floats that participated in the parade.
