GTA 6: New Report Says Players Are Purchasing the Ultimate Edition of the Game More Compared to the Base Version

A new report claims that the Ultimate version of Grand Theft Auto 6 is being purchased more compared to the standard edition of the game.

After months of speculation, Rockstar finally revealed the price of GTA 6 in June 2026. The standard edition comes in at ₹5,999, while the Ultimate edition comes with a hefty ₹7,499 price tag.

Now, a new report by Tweak Town consisting of publicly available PlayStation Store website data from different parts of the world says that GTA 6’s Ultimate edition is being preferred more by players. The data comprises of regions such as the US, Japan, UK, Germany, Canada, and more.

Director of research and insights at Niko Partners, Daniel Ahmad took to X/Twitter to share his thoughts on the report. Ahmad said, “One of the broader trends in console gaming over the past decade is how growth is coming from increased player spend, not increased players.” They further added that the “core console gamer loves ultimate editions.”
