‘Big Brother 28’ spoilers: Veto results are in, a Time Capsule power is unleashed, and a bromance turns red-hot

Kamu Kirk wasted no time throwing his weight around as the new Head of Household, nominating LaTrice Verrett, Lyric Medeiros, and Mallory Aurichio for eviction while quietly setting his sights on Jason De Puy as the backdoor target.
Jason spent the rest of Friday scrambling, pitching himself to Dee Valladares and Angela Murray as a free agent. By Friday evening, he was venting to Lyric about the target on his back, flip-flopping between resignation — “just send me home” — and making the case for why the house should keep him around. Pick a lane, “messy bitch”!
Now Saturday’s Veto competition may have given Kamu all the ammunition he needed.
Power of Veto
Players: Drawn to join Kamu, Mallory, Lyric, and LaTrice in the Veto competition were Jason and Haley Thogmartin.
Lyric has won the Power of Veto.
What this means
Obviously Lyric will use the Veto on herself, clearing the way for Kamu to finally pull the trigger on his plan to backdoor Jason. If Jason manages to win his second Block Buster in a row, though, Mallory becomes the target instead — at least for now. The week is still young, and there’s already a section of the house, led by Haley, angling to get LaTrice out instead.
Time Capsule Twist
New this season: America can vote each week to send one houseguest into the BB Time Capsule, where they play a solo game for either a classic Big Brother power or a humiliating historical punishment. Last week, Angela lost and was forced to wear the Egg detective suit all week.
This week, Devens was the one voted in — and he came away with the Diamond Power of Veto. It lets him save one of the nominees from eviction and name the replacement nominee himself, no HOH input required. It doesn’t expire for six weeks and, so far, he’s only told Dee.
Cracks in the Toolshed
There’s also some Toolshed paranoia bubbling under the surface — Dee flagged to Kamu that he’d talked too loosely about the alliance in front of Yash Patel. Elsewhere, Angela was doing damage control with Kamu and Haley over a “girls’ alliance” rumor. There are too many people in cross-over alliances and it was bound to get messy.
The eight-person Toolshed alliance is showing some real cracks, too. Barrett Pfeiffer summed up his actual level of commitment to the group in a since-circulated clip: “Man, fuck the Toolshed… unless it’s advantageous to me, in which case… I love the Toolshed. But that’s not as fun…” Loyalty, apparently, is negotiable.
Bromance Brewing
Move over, Rome and Lyric — there’s a new connection heating up the Big Brother house. Drew Campbell gave the internet something to laugh (or swoon, even?) about this week. A clip made the rounds of him waiting for Kamu to get out of the bathroom by striking a shirtless “sexy pose” on the HOH bed, surrounded by Nerds and Cheez-Its.
The funny bit’s been drawing attention partly because of controversy. Kamu has faced some criticism online this week over comments he made about houseguests in drag (“miss me with the drag stuff”), which some viewers have called homophobic. So a flirtatious bromance between the 32-year-old MMA fighter and the dental assistant 10 years his junior is making waves.
