Buffalo Bills unveil new ‘Nickel City’ uniforms leading into the inaugural season of Highmark Stadium

Visual inspiration came from the steel mills, grain elevators and rail yards, which are foundational to the city’s place in history. It’s also a celebration of the blue-collar men and women who built the team’s new home, Highmark Stadium.
The most striking element is the royal blue “Charge” helmet. The design brings the Charging Buffalo to life with the signature horn, eye and charge streak prominently displayed on a royal blue shell with metallic flake finish and additional metallic blue flake accents, boasting a mindset of energy, strength, and attack.
“It’s a bold new helmet to represent a bold new era in Buffalo Bills football,” La Porta shared.
La Porta and the Bills design team were also part of the crew that collaborated in designing Buffalo’s ‘Cold Front’ Rivalries jerseys, which debuted in 2025. Having had that experience, La Porta was aware of the challenges that come with designing a whole new uniform set while staying true to the team’s identity.
