In what has been described as a ‘generous’ offer, King Charles has reportedly offered his son a room at his own gaff at Buckingham Palace when the prince visits in the coming weeks

Prince Harry’s relationship with his father appears to be improving, with King Charles reportedly offering his son a room at Buckingham Palace next week.
The Duke of Sussex, 41, is set to return to Britain in a few weeks for a string of engagements centering around the annual WellChild Awards. Sources have indicated to the Sun newspaper the prince is set to accept a generous offer from his dad inviting him to stay at the Royal Palace.
Last time Prince Harry came to the UK, he reportedly dithered around and left it “too late” to book a royal room at his dad’s gaff. The King’s “patience snapped” as his son ended up in private accommodation.

The Sun claims Harry has accepted the fresh offer to stay at the Palace well in advance this time. Currently he gives UK police and Royal officials 28 days notice of arrival.
Royal author Robert Jobson said the King’s gesture was a positive sign of relations with the Sussexes continuing to get better.
He said: “Obviously there does appear to be a sense that it’s a gradual process and things are improving.”
Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, said: “Harry realises it is a very generous offer by his father and needs to respect that this time and be gracious about it.

“This is a chance perhaps for Harry to show his father he knows how to behave.”
It is not known whether Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan, or their kids Lilibet and Archie will make the trip across the Atlantic.
Ever since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex famously stepped back from royal duties and packed their bags for America, they lost their automatic right to taxpayer-funded police bodyguards when visiting Britain.
Despite Harry’s continuous appeals – and losing a high-profile High Court battle against the Home Office last year – the Prince has been repeatedly turned down for full-time protection.
