BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed that 7 tornadoes touched down in West Virginia during Tuesday’s storms.
According to the NWS in Charleston, three of these tornadoes were likely on the ground at the same time.
- EF-1: Washington County (OH) -> Pleasants County, WV
- EF-2: Washington County (OH) -> Pleasants County -> Doddridge County
- EF-1: Washington County (OH) -> Pleasants County, WV -> Tyler County -> Ritchie County -> Doddridge County
The other four reported are:
- Barbour County, WV (No strength info yet)
- EF-1: Hampshire County, WV -> Frederick County, VA
- EF-0: Pendleton County, WV (near Seneca Rocks)
- EF-1: Pendleton County, WV -> Rockingham County, VA
