While Boulter’s stats are in the main slightly edging Krueger, the American has proved herself in clutch moments and has come away with more service points won.
Playing Styles & Prediction
Krueger enjoyed a long grass court season, playing lower tier events in Birmingham and Ilkley and having good runs before coming through qualifying at Wimbledon and making it through the fourth round. By contrast Boulter’s best run on the green stuff came at Queen’s club, but had disappointing showings at Bad Homburg and Wimbledon with back to back first-round exits.
Krueger got the better of the Brit in their first two outings, but Bouter won their last match-up in Adelaide 2024, and it remains to be seen is happiness in her life off court results in a more motivated and relaxed Boulter as we gear up towards the US Open. With neither of them having played since the grass court season it is difficult to see who has the momentum coming into this match, but a home crowd will definitely play to Krueger’s advantage.
