João Palhinha has never completely given up on the idea of establishing himself at Bayern, hence his statement yesterday (‘my plan is to keep my position here’). After Bayern failed to reach an agreement with any of the interested clubs recently, Palhinha became more and more open to staying in Munich. As things stand, the Portuguese midfielder wants to fight for his spot, even though Vincent Kompany did not have him in his plans. However should the club actively force him out, Palhinha and Bayern would have to find a different solution together. Up until now, Bayern have been unwilling to accommodate potential suitors. Palhinha intends to remain professional as long as he’s still at the club.
