As patrols continue across the county during the school holidays, officers have been responding to a wide range of incidents to “keep communities safe.”
In Dorchester, police arrested a man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs after officers witnessed a suspected drug transaction.
A number of individual deals of white powder were seized at the scene, and the man remains in custody while enquiries are ongoing.

Elsewhere in Dorset, officers in Bournemouth responded to reports of a suspected shoplifter.
The suspect was found to be in possession of suspected stolen goods, which were recovered and returned to their rightful owner.
The suspect is now assisting officers with their enquiries.
In Poole, officers arrested a man on suspicion of indecent exposure after responding to a report and locating a suspect who matched the description provided, investigations into the incident are continuing.

Concerns for a young pony in West Dorset also prompted a collaborative response from the rural crime team, Dorchester officers, the RSPCA, and an equine vet.
The pony was found in poor condition and was examined, seized, and transported to receive further care, enquiries are ongoing to determine how the pony came to be in that state, and it is now being looked after at an equine facility.

Dorset Police officers said it will continue to carry out patrols around the county to help locals and visitors enjoy the beauty that Dorset has to offer this summer.
