The NHL trade chatter picked up again around Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Alexander Nikishin, but it’s not the Pittsburgh Penguins who are publicly named as the suitor. The San Jose Sharks opened their wallet and then backed up the Brinks truck to Macklin Celebrini, making him the highest-paid player in the game. Sportsnet projected which pending free agents could actually hit the market next summer, and the Wheeling Nailers did the Penguins one last solid.
I’d love to tell you that I had a great time at the Pirates game Wednesday and they looked good, but their bats were silent. At least Manny’s loaded mac ‘n cheese always hits the spot. So, instead of a story or anything interesting, I have an honest question. I haven’t bought new furniture in a long time, but I needed a new couch. After shopping, why is every recliner, even couches, electric?
What, the lever or leaning back was too difficult? Too affordable? So, instead of throwing out your feet, you have to wait 10 seconds to retract just to get up. Who thought this was progress?
