The BAFTA-winning performer, known for his roles in The IT Crowd and The Crystal Maze, will present an evening of reflections and insights from his book, Afterthoughts, or Some Pistachios Won’t Open: Wisdom for the Unreflective.
He will be performing at the Ipswich Regent Theatre on Friday, October 23 at 7.30pm.
Ayoade, a St Joseph’s College alumni, has expanded his repertoire over the years, moving from sitcoms and films to panel shows and more recently, game shows, appearing in the first season of Last One Laughing UK.
His distinctive voice has also been a fixture in animated films such as The Boxtrolls, Early Man, Soul, and The Bad Guys.
Fans will get a chance to hear Ayoade’s musings on a variety of topics, including some of his more whimsical thoughts like: “Where’s the box to tick if you ARE a robot?” and “If, when one door shuts, another door opens, there’s something wrong with your doors. They shouldn’t be doing that.”
Beyond his entertaining quips, Ayoade’s Afterthoughts promises to delve deeper into a reservoir of questions, encouraging audiences to ponder, laugh, and perhaps see the world a little differently.
Tickets for the event will be available for priority sale from Thursday, July 30 at 10am and will go on general sale on Friday, July 31 at 10am.
