Lollapalooza Delayed Saturday Due To Rain

DOWNTOWN — Day three of Lollapalooza is officially delayed, festival organizers announced via social media Saturday morning.

According to a banner on the Lolla website: “DOORS DELAY: Due to current and overnight heavy rains, doors will be delayed until 2pm. Please stay tuned for updates.”

Lollapalooza will open its doors at 2 p.m., a three-hour delay, due to continued rain showers across the city. Updates to Saturday’s performance schedules are unknown at this time. The evening’s scheduled headliners include Olivia Dean, DJ Trixie Mattel and Jennie. Geese, Wolf Alice and local DJ Whethan are also scheduled to perform.

Chicago is under a flood advisory until 11:15 a.m. and a flood warning until 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Rain showers are expected throughout the day and into the early evening hours.

Currently, there is no rain in the forecast for Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
