Euston station incident sees person rushed to hospital as police called to casualty on tracks

A person has been taken to hospital following reports of a casualty on the tracks at Euston station. The busy Central London transport hub was forced to shut after officers, paramedics and fire crews were called to the scene at 1.30pm, but has since reopened.

The Victoria line continues to experience severe delays after it was initially shut between Highbury and Islington and Warren Street.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “We were called to London Euston Underground station shortly after 1.30pm this afternoon (July 31) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

“Officers attended along with paramedics and a person was taken to hospital. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”

Tickets are being accepted on bus, the London Overground, Great Northern, Thameslink, Greater Anglia, South Western Railway and Southeastern services.
