A much-changed Leicester City side lost 1-0 to Coventry City in a behind-closed-door friendly at the club’s Seagrave training complex this afternoon.
The Foxes play Italian side Genoa at the King Power Stadium tonight (7.30pm kick-off) to round off their pre-season schedule. Russell Martin’s men have beaten Northampton, Bristol Rovers, Burton Albion and Cadiz, while drawing with La Liga side Malaga.
Ahead of the game, Martin took the opportunity to further assess his players against the Foxes’ M69 rivals. The fixture took place at Seagrave and featured players unlikely to start against Genoa.
Joel Latibeaudiere headed home from a corner in the 80th minute to give Coventry victory.

Riley Carr and Louis Page both had opportunities to put Leicester ahead in the first-half, while Fran Vieites denied Bobby Thomas from close range.
After the break, goalkeeper Vieites denied Ellis Simms and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto. The breakthrough came 10 minutes from time when Liam Kitching headed the ball back across goal for Latibeaudiere to convert.
Michael Golding, who is still yet to make his debut for Leicester, nearly equalised just four minutes later. The former Chelsea youngster star saw his shot cannon off the crossbar.
