Availability report: Midfield in focus as 5-Stripes head north to face Philadelphia Union

The 5-Stripes are settling back into a more weekly rhythm after a busy stretch of back-to-back matches following the World Cup break. The team prepares for Saturday’s away match against Philadelphia Union, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Atlanta United’s focus is on balancing the midfield despite four players being out. 

Jay Fortune continues to recover from a hamstring issue, while the squad will also be without Cooper Sanchez, who is representing the United States at the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship.

With two midfielders unavailable, the 5-Stripes will look to other options to step up. The likes of Will Reilly and Tristan Muyumba will likely be called upon again. We’ll see how head coach Tata Martino lines up the 5-Stripes tomorrow evening. 

Paulo Díaz remains unavailable as he continues to work through the visa process, and Sergio Santos is still working his way back from a calf injury.
