ST. CHARLES, Mo. (First Alert 4) – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents took one person into custody Sunday following a pursuit in St. Charles.
According to St. Charles City Police, officers had attempted to pull over a vehicle on the Pundmann Parkway overpass around 11:30 a.m. Sunday. That vehicle pulled into the Sam’s Club parking lot nearby, where two passengers got out of the vehicle.
Police say those passengers attempted to run, but officers found them and detained them. One of the passengers was released into ICE custody, and the other passenger was released for medical attention.
The driver of the vehicle was last seen driving on eastbound Interstate 70 near the Blanchette Bridge, police say.
First Alert 4 has reached out to ICE for more information on the person detained.
