Two large groups of Walt Disney World Resort guests spent their entire 80-minute wait for Avatar Flight of Passage bickering. Minutes from boarding one of the most popular attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the verbal conflict became an all-out physical brawl. Another Central Florida Disney Park guest filmed the violent altercation on Sunday, August 2.

On Sunday afternoon, Reddit user u/United_Excitement329 shared this video of two groups physically fighting while waiting to ride Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The social media user reported that the guests had been arguing verbally throughout the 80-minute wait and that the brawl was not over line-cutting. However, they did not know what started the conflict.

Fight broke out this morning in line for Avatar:Flight of passage. I’m not sure what started the fight, but I was told the two groups had been arguing the entire wait time.

Edit: It wasn’t like cutting. These two groups had been arguing for the entirety of the 80 minute wait. Still not sure what about.

In the video, several men and women are seen hitting and punching each other. The brawl appeared to extend through multiple rooms in the queue. At one point, a Disney cast member ran up and tried to ask the guests to stop fighting; however, they are trained not to physically intervene and are instead instructed to call security.

Neither the Orange County Sheriff’s Office nor Walt Disney World Resort issued a statement on the violent altercation at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park on Sunday morning. More information may become available if a police report is prepared and/or criminal charges are filed. However, Disney is unlikely to make a statement.

It remains unclear what started the fight and whether the guests involved were banned from Walt Disney World Resort property, which usually happens when law enforcement responds to rule-breaking at the Disney parks. Most likely, anyone involved in the violence was escorted out of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and asked not to return to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
