Travis Kelce Reportedly Facing Doubts from Taylor Swift’s Friends for Using His ‘Celebrity’ Amid Report She’s Feeling ‘So Much Pressure’ After Their Wedding

Travis Kelce is an NFL player, and a pretty successful one at that. But amid his wedding to superstar singer Taylor Swift and the reality that NFL careers don’t last all that long, people have started wondering what’s next for Kelce. He’s already dabbled in acting, appearing in Grotesquerie, Happy Gilmore 2, and hosting Saturday Night Live. Could he also try his hand at singing?
Kelce reportedly performed at his Madison Square Garden wedding to Taylor Swift, and that might be the first step towards a new career. “Travis has been talking about making a country album for months,” one insider told Rob Shuter. “The wedding performance wasn’t just a fun moment—it was a test run. He was singing in front of the biggest names in music, and he wanted to see how it felt.”

After brother Jason confirmed that Travis “can sing” and has “always been able to carry a tune,” people have started wondering if that might be in the future. But country singing isn’t as easy as it seems.
“Some of Taylor’s friends in the music industry think he’s underestimating how tough country music really is,” a source told Naughty But Nice. “Celebrity might get you through the front door, but it won’t keep you on the charts. You still have to earn the respect of Nashville.”
And being married to Taylor Swift won’t be enough. Or will it?
“People said Taylor and Travis would never make it, never get married, and certainly never pull off a Madison Square Garden wedding,” another insider said. “They’ve proved everyone wrong before. Travis has relentless drive, enormous charisma, and the biggest superstar in music standing beside him.”
Of course, this is all a supposition and one that will only happen at some point in the future. Kelce is set to go back to the Kansas City Chiefs for at least one more season and another chance at a Super Bowl. But after that, who knows?
“With Taylor in his corner, Travis believes the sky’s the limit,” the source added. “Now it’s Nashville’s turn to decide if it’s ready for football’s next act.”
For now, Swift will be on the stands supporting Kelce, and reports indicate that comes with its own kind of pressure. According to HeatWorld, “Taylor loves going to the games to support Travis – she finds it thrilling to be a part of the spectacle, and now that she’s his wife it’s going to be that much more important.”
“But that doesn’t mean it’s not stressful, the pressure is immense.”
“Game days take a lot out of her, because the cameras are on her from the second she walks into the stadium until the moment she leaves and everything she does gets dissected online a million times over. She can’t just relax and watch the game the way everyone else does – she has to constantly be on and doing everything perfectly. Even for someone as used to the spotlight as Taylor is, it’s daunting.”
