‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Achieves Biggest Live-Action Movie Premiere On Disney+ & Hulu Since ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’

After grossing over $690M during its theatrical run, 20th Century Studios’ The Devil Wears Prada 2 has achieved the biggest live-action movie premiere on Disney+ and Hulu since Deadpool & Wolverine, with 15.2 million global views in its first five days of availability.

Following up a beloved fashion-world dramedy from June 2006, starring Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada 2 watches as Hathaway’s assistant-turned-reporter Andy Sachs reunites with her prickly former boss, fashion mogul Miranda Priestly (Streep), as they navigate their careers amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing.

David Frankel directed both the original film, based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel, as well as the sequel scripted by Aline Brosh McKenna. Wendy Finerman and Karen Rosenfelt produced, with Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, and Kenneth Branagh also in the cast, among others.
