Kansas’ winning Powerball ticket was sold at a QuikTrip. Here’s what we know

As the Powerball jackpot grows closer to becoming one of the biggest jackpots in game history, a lottery player in Kansas recently claimed one of the smaller prizes.

In the July 27 drawing, someone who bought a Powerball ticket in northeast Kansas won $50,000.

Now that the winner has claimed their prize, Kansas Lottery officials shared the name of the retailer and city where the winning ticket was sold.

The Powerball ticket was sold at QuikTrip, 1020 E. 23rd St., in Lawrence.

To win $50,000, the ticket matched four of the white balls and the Powerball number. The numbers drawn that night were 6, 26, 46, 58 and 65 with a Powerball of 25.
