TOWIE star moved abroad after armed break-in left her terrified in her own home

Megan McKenna, who appeared on The Only Way Is Essex, said the break-in happened two years ago and left her too afraid to remain in England alone while her husband, footballer Oliver Burke, was based in Germany.
The 33-year-old has now relocated to Germany full-time.
Speaking on the Great Company With Jamie Laing podcast, McKenna said: “I don’t talk about this with a lot of people because I was worried and scared at the time because people were in prison for it, and when there was a trial going on, so I wasn’t able to talk about it.
“I was robbed really badly in my own home.
“It scared me so much to be in the UK and to live in the UK on my own, because obviously Ollie’s in Germany.”
She said the burglary happened shortly after she and Burke returned from their honeymoon in Montenegro.
Her husband had flown back to Germany the day after landing in the UK, leaving McKenna alone at their home.
She recalled waking up to find the house “shaking” and quickly realised it was a break-in.
McKenna said: “They were inside my house, but I lock my bedroom door every night because I always worry about something happening to me when I’m on my own.
“The next thing I know, my mirror has come off my wall, and they’re hacking a hole through my wall with a baseball bat.”
The intruders – three masked men armed with machetes and baseball bats – broke through a false wall into her dressing room.
She called police and was told not to confront them, but feared for her dog’s safety.
McKenna later approached one of the men, who took her jewellery.
She said the men appeared to be targeting her valuables and described the break-in as “obviously targeted.”
