“I thought that Brock knew I was the one when I put him away at WrestleMania. That is why when he came back and made my life miserable for weeks I thought it was an action borne out of evil, or envy, or jealous. But now with wisdom of hindsight I realize that it was all a test.
“He needed to come back to find out if he chose right. The question going into WrestleMania was ‘can Oba Femi swim?’ That question was answered very, very quickly, wasn’t it? But then going into SummerSlam, the question changed. It went from ‘Can you swim?’ to ‘how long can you hold your breath?’
“And that’s what Brock did. I went into the cage with one of the most dangerous and most decorated combat athletes of our generation. I went blow-for-blow with him. He took me to the deepest depths of the ocean and he held me there. And guess what? I swam up, I emerged victorious, and I passed the test.
