Highway 97 is still closed at the north end of Okanagan Lake due to the Bradley Creek wildfire.
The closure spans the distance between Salmon River Road and the junction with Highway 97A.
How much longer the closure will continue is contingent on the Bradley Creek fire fight.
It was sparked Friday night on Okanagan Indian Band land, near the north end of Okanagan Lake, and spread rapidly to the north throughout Saturday.
Westside Road was closed in the area Saturday afternoon, then the fire jumped across Highway 97 that evening, forcing the highway’s closure as well.
