Prince Harry and Meghan greeted by fans at Sydney Opera House

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex received a warm welcome upon arriving at Sydney Harbor as the couple prepared to embark on a boat tour with Invictus Australia.

Duchess Meghan is making a splash on her 45th birthday.

The mother-of-two took to Instagram Tuesday, Aug. 4, thanking fans for the “birthday love.”

The royal, who married Prince Harry in 2018, posted two photos of her plunging into a pool wearing a dark swimsuit and oversized sunglasses, a bunch of birthday balloons flying behind her.

To mark the occasion, Meghan’s lifestyle brand As Ever paid tribute to its founder on with a carousel of images shared to Instagram.

The first image shows the mother-of-two enjoying a moment of calm outside, wearing a pair of pale jeans and a blue striped shirt, gazing thoughtfully into the distance. Another image shows the duchess as a young girl sitting crossed legged on the bed, her hair styled into braids.

“A birthday worth celebrating” reads the wording on an envelope shared in another of the images.

The birthday tributes came as the duchess, alongside husband Prince Harry, issued a scathing statement taking aim at Big Tech over AI tools that enable “predatory behavior” against women and children. The royal couple called out Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, for attempting to block the state of Minnesota’s ban on AI “nudification” technology.

The couple have long warned of the dangers of social media and the evolution of disturbing AI tools, zoning in on the negative impact the platforms can have on mental health. The couple, who married in 2018, share two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5.

Last year to mark her 44th birthday, As Ever paid tribute to her with a black-and-white photo shared to Instagram showing the duchess smiling outdoors, wearing a sun dress and wide-brimmed hat.

The company was established in the spring of 2025, after years of teasing fans. The homely brand has spent much of the summer promoting its “fruit forward” blackberry spread and jars of lavender honey.

The Sussex family recently returned from a controversial trip to the United Kingdom, during which the Sussex family were reunited with King Charles III and Queen Camilla for the first time in four years. The meeting marked a significant step towards reconciliation amid an ongoing rift within the family triggered six years ago when Harry and Meghan stepped back from their senior royal duties and relocated to California.

Meghan did not join Harry on the London portion of his trip following a royal fallout over security measures and confusion over a rescinded invite for Prince Harry to reportedly stay at Buckingham Palace.

Following a brief visit to Harry’s home country, the Sussexes returned home to Meghan’s home state.

Last week, the duchess attended a screening for the couple’s Girl Scouts documentary, “Cookie Queens.” When asked during a Q&A t how she navigates “tough moments,” Meghan revealed that she relies on her husband for advice, according to People magazine.

“If there’s a storm happening, above the storm, the sun’s always shining,” Meghan recalled her husband once telling her, a pearl of wisdom she finds helpful during hard days.
