Have you heard about One Night Only, the upcoming movie about the one night a year single people can legally have premarital sex? In the weeks leading up to its premiere, One Night Only’s premise has caused plenty of heated discussion — how exactly do the rules work? — and at least one AMC singles event. But you know whose opinion we really should have? Pop star and literary icon Dua Lipa.
Thankfully for us, Lipa is equipped to weigh in, because her husband is in the movie — and now we know she has officially seen it. On Monday, she showed up to the New York City premiere in custom Ferragamo, posing for photos with Callum Turner — their first red-carpet appearance as a married couple. Turner, who wore a double-breasted Louis Vuitton suit with a striped tie, stepped onto the carpet solo on Monday night before gesturing for his wife to join him. The singer is a vision even when she’s kicking it on a surfboard in Ibiza, so you can imagine the level of head-turning prompted by the sight of her in a plunging halter gown with a scarf thrown around her neck and fringe shaking off her skirt.
Lipa looked so happy, you’d hardly know she was about to enter a theater to watch one of the most mind-bending rom-com concepts in recent history. I am kindly requesting that she please get on Substack to post her full review and, most important, explain exactly how the government tracks if and when the singles are having sex. The people are wondering.
